    FASTag is an electronic toll collection system in India that uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to enable cashless and seamless toll payments at toll plazas. 

     FASTag = Fast Electronic Toll Accumulation and Global Positioning System (GPS).

    FASTag became mandatory for all vehicles in India from February 15, 2021. Vehicles without a FASTag are required to pay double the toll amount at toll plazas.

Recharge: 

    FASTag accounts can be recharged using various modes, including online banking, credit/debit cards, UPI, and NEFT.

    Penalties: Failure to comply with the FASTag regulations can result in penalties, including a fine of up to Rs. 10,000 and suspension of the vehicle's registration.
